Boy
Scout Day-2004

Owen Dwire gives the Scouts a briefing on how an airplane
flies, and
tells them how the model is controlled by our radios.

The Scouts were obviously interested in Aviation and radio
control models,
if the turnout is any indication!

The weather wasn't the best, but the cloudy sky sometimes
makes the
model show up better. It turned out to be ideal, as it was a very
comfortable
day for flight training. Owen Dwire (left) helps a Scout on the buddy box.

Marshal Tucker helps this young Scout on the buddy
box.

Owen did a demo flight to show the Scouts what kind of maneuvers
could be oreforrned
with a Radio Controlled model aircraft.

I think he had their attention!

Even the Scout Masters got a chance to try their turn with
a
model. Here, Owen Picket assists on the buddy box.

Tony Gorgone helps a young man with th4e buddy box, while
Jeff Detlof watches .

After the flying was over and everyone had a chance to
experience
flying a radio controlled airplane, Owen conducted a question and answer
session.
