2008 Electrics Over Tidewater

Come join us for our Third Annual all Electric Fly-in. Nothing fancy just plain good fun, flying and tale spinning with like minded R/C pilots.

Where:
Newport News R/C Park Newport News Virginia

When:
26 September; night flying from 6PM-10PM
27 September 2007; Field opens at 8:00 and open flying begins at 9:00

Details:
No special events are planned short of a little foamy combat for any that are game! We may still come up with a few quick events

AMA Membership required. AMA Safety code will be observed.

Taking off is free but there will be a $10 landing fee (only charged once of course!)

A great lunch of Chili and fixings will be provided.
This Chili will be brought to you with the same secret Recipe that won the Langley FD the “Best Chili in Hampton Roads” two years in a row in the Hampton Bay Days Chili cook-off. This is the now famous “Raptor After Burner Chili”

Directions to the field.

From I-64 Westbound;
Proceed to next exit past Jefferson Ave, the Ft Eustis Blvd Exit. This exits onto Jefferson. Turn left on Jefferson and then a right at the light (only about 100 yards). This will be marked "to Yorktown". Proceed 1.5 miles to the first right turn past the York county line which is Richneck Road, or Rt 636. Then turn left just past the railroad track.

From I-64 Eastbound;
Take Ft Eustis Blvd East. This will indicate "To YORKTOWN". Go 1.5 miles and turn right onto Rt. 636 (Richneck Road). Turn left onto dirt road just past the railroad tracks. WELCOME!

From Route 17:
Go West on Ft Eustis Blvd 1.7 miles and turn left onto Rt. 636 (Richneck Road). Take the dirt road to the left just past the Railroad track. WELCOME!
