Joe's F-86 Minute Men Sabre
This is a BVM kit for the F-86 F Sabre. The Minute Men were
the show team of the
Colorado Air National Guard in the fifties. The model has a fiberglass
fuselege and
balsa covered foam wings and tail surfaces. The balsa surfaces have been
covered with 3/4 oz fiberglass. The finish is K & B primer and red paint.
The
aluminum areas are covered with Coverite Presto Chrome. Each panel was
applied
separately and the rivets are applied one at a time with a small hot brass tube.
Power is an OS .91 VRDF ducted fan engine in the BVM Fan. The
model has
flaps, retracts, brakes, and drop tanks. The span and length are both 60 inches.
