Getting to The Flying Field |

To locate our flying field, the following
instructions may help: From I-64 Westbound; Proceed to next exit past Jefferson Ave, the Ft Eustis Blvd Exit. This exits onto Jefferson. Turn left on Jefferson and then a right at the light (only about 100 yards). This will be marked "to Yorktown". Proceed 1.5 miles to the first right turn past the York county line which is Richneck Road, or Rt 636. Then turn left just past the railroad track. From I-64 Eastbound; Take Ft Eustis Blvd East. This will indicate "To YORKTOWN". Go 1.5 miles and turn right onto Rt. 636 (Richneck Road). Turn left onto dirt road just past the railroad tracks. WELCOME! From Route 17: Go West on Ft Eustis Blvd 1.7 miles and turn left onto Rt. 636 (Richneck Road). Take the dirt road to the left just past the Railroad track. WELCOME! To attend our club meetings: (During the summer months meetings are held at the field. Check the meeting schedule for updated information.) From I-64, see above instructions to get to Jefferson Avenue. Go West on Jefferson about one mile (West of ft Eustis Blvd). Turn into the Park Ranger Station just past the lake. We meet in a little building across the road from the Ranger Station. |
